The INSPIRE Scholarship is a flagship program of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. It encourages meritorious students to pursue Basic and Natural Sciences and research careers.
Eligibility
Applicants should generally:
✅ Be among the Top 1% in the Class 12 Board Examination (State/Central Board), or qualify through other approved national merit criteria.
✅ Take admission in B.Sc., B.S., Integrated M.Sc., or Integrated M.S. in Basic & Natural Sciences.
✅ Be 17 to 22 years of age.
❌ Professional courses such as Engineering, MBBS, B.Tech, BCA, BBA, Computer Applications, IT, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Economics, Geography, Home Science, etc., are not eligible under the SHE component.
